Research Opportunities For Master's Students

Monaoptolittle.jpg

Brown CS research crosses traditional boundaries and projects spring from shared interests more than from established groups. Faculty work closely with our Master’s students, drawing ideas and expertise from other disciplines and departments, and a tradition of combining theory and practice remains as strong and relevant today as it was forty years ago.

How To Get Started

  1. For inspiration, read theses and project reports by previous Master’s students here.

  2. Find a faculty member whose interests align with yours by looking at the list of research areas here.

  3. Check out specific research opportunities with our faculty here.

  4. Visit a faculty member’s web page to find out their preferred communication method, then get in touch.

  5. Any questions? Send an email to cs-masters-info@brown.edu.
