Computer Systems Security: Principles and Practice
Summer 2018
This course explores topics in computer systems security. It provides a concrete introduction to hardware, software, network and web security vulnerabilities and social engineering attacks. It also introduces principles designed to anticipate, assess and minimize security risks and examines a variety of techniques for passive and active defense and defense in depth. The course also explores the way advanced persistent threat campaigns are executed. The course will be team-taught.
Students who have previously taken CSCI 1660 should not take this course.
