Use this for short items that will reach both an internal and external audience. These can be more humorous and less formal. To view this page, click here.

Brown CS Facebook Page Use this for medium-length items that will reach both an internal and external audience. To view this page, click here.

Brown CS Facebook Group    Use this for medium-length items that will reach an internal audience that includes alums (members must have a Facebook account linked to a brown.edu email address).

Brown CS Alums Facebook Group Use this for medium-length items that will reach an audience of Brown CS alums.  Email your request to Jesse C. Polhemus and include the text of your proposed post and any images that you would like included.

Brown CS News Use this for longer, more prominent items that will reach an internal and external audience as part of the Brown CS web site. Items are typically concerned with especially important student, faculty, and staff news, research, achievements, and honors. To view this page, click here. Brown CS Digital Signage Use this for highly visual items that will reach a Brown CS and Brown University audience within the CIT and the eighth floor of the Sciences Library. The Brown CS Digital Signage is reserved for CS-related academic matters.

Email your slide to Jesse C. Polhemus. It should:

* be in 16 x 9 proportions

* be in landscape mode

* use high-resolution imagery

* be a PNG or JPG

* only include images owned by you or Brown and/or ones that you've explicitly received permission to use

Requests to post digital signage are reviewed by the departent for adherence to university and departmental posting policies.

Brown CS Events Calendar Use this to publicize a Brown CS-related event to an internal and external audience. To view this page, click here Email the details of the event (title, location, date, time, description) to Kathy Billings.
 
Email Lists Use these to communicate with various subsets of the Brown CS community. To see a list of available lists, click here. Follow the instructions here to join the list(s) of your choice. After joining, you can send messages, but please note that some lists may be subject to moderation. 
[Announce] Email List Use this to announce talks and lectures to an internal audience. Email the details of the event (title, location, date, time, description) to Reception.
 
Brown Events Calendar Use this to announce events to the entire Brown University community as well as an external audience. To view this page, click here. Whenever you add an item to the Brown CS Events Calendar (see above), it's automatically added to the Brown Events Calendar.
News from Brown Use this to share news stories with the entire Brown University community as well as an external audience. to view this page, click here. Email your proposal for a news item to Kevin Stacey (Science News Officer, Physical Sciences) and please copy Jesse C. Polhemus to keep him informed.
Today@Brown Use this to announce events via email to the entire Brown University community or various subsets. Click here to go to the Brown Morning Mail, then follow the instructions provided.
 
Flyers Use these to announce events and communicate with anyone on the Brown University campus. There are numerous locations where you can post physical flyers on campus. Many of most prominent ones require permission: for example, to post a flyer in Faunce Arch, bring it to the front desk in Faunce House. After review and approval, they'll post it for you.
