Brown University's Department of Computer Science seeks applicants for several Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Data Science. The fellows will join a highly multidisciplinary team of Brown faculty, representing the Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics departments as well as a broad range of other disciplines.
Fellows will have an appointment in one the four core departments (Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics): they are expected to work on interdisciplinary data-science research that involves core departments and domain disciplines and be engaged in the research and educational projects of the emerging data science initiative at Brown.
Depending on the core department they are affiliated with, Post-Doctoral Fellows may be required to develop and teach up to one course per semester. The appointments are for a two-year period and can begin as soon as possible. To receive full consideration, applications must be received by January 31, 2016. The positions will remain open until filled.
Application materials: CV, 3-5 letters of recommendation, research statement, and (optional) teaching statement.
Applications must be submitted via Interfolio; the application page is: http://apply.interfolio.com/33281, and requests all necessary information from each applicant.
