FAQ:
I think I'm already going to an orientation this week?
The Brown Graduate School runs its own orientation, and you may have been also invited to other start-of-semester information sessions. This orientation is specific to the Masters and PhD programs in Brown Computer Science and will feature information relevant to life in the department and flash talks from faculty.
How do I attend the orientation?
We'll be doing a hybrid orientation this year. Each talk will has an associated time, physical location, and Zoom link. In person participation is subject to a negative test from the COVID testing center, but we would love to see your faces if you have a negative test!
Will the talks be recorded?
Yes, the talks will be recorded, but it may be a few days before they are available. We encourage students to attend in person if they can, but you will be able to access all of the information and ask questions afterward as well.
What if I have more questions?
Feel free to email Sam Thomas directly (samuel_thomas@brown.edu); you can ask questions unrelated to the orientation as well.
