AI and Cybersecurity Policy

Fall 2025

Two dynamic, cross-cutting technological domains, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, have massive, pervasive impacts on economies and societies. Multiple stakeholders, including policymakers, both in the United States and around the world, struggle to keep up and to develop robust, sustainable, technologically-neutral, harmonious policies to meet the demands of this moment. This course will consider US and international activities and their implications. Stakeholders include governments, certainly, but also the private sector and NGOs, who play important roles. You will leave this course with a stronger understanding of the policy process, the stakeholders, and current developments in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity policy, and artificial intelligence policy in the United States and abroad.
