Operating Systems Laboratory

Fall 2026

Half-credit course intended to be taken with CSCI 1670. Students write a simple operating system that works on real hardware from the ground up. Goes deeper into advanced topics on operating systems than 1670, and serves to reinforce and expand on the concepts learned in 1670. Includes discussion at weekly seminar meetings and additional components to the CSCI 1670 assignments that make the students’ operating system more realistic.
