Computation is happening all around us, as molecules jostle in a complicated dance to minimize their energy, or as animals compete for survival by acting out complicated programs encoded in their DNA. This talk will discuss how computation is not just a tool but a new way of looking at the world, drawing from examples including protein folding, fluid dynamics, and biological evolution.
