Brown Computer Science: The Honors Accumulate
Chad Jenkins' recent NSF CAREER award and Amy Greenwald's Career Development Award from the Brown ADVANCE program are two more honors recently garnered by our junior faculty, and part of continuing recognition for our outstanding faculty and students: two named professorships, three honorary degrees, three undergraduate teaching awards, two PECASE Awards, three Sloan Fellowships, five NSF CAREER Awards, an ONR Young Investigator, a Tech Review Top Young Investigator, an ACM Gödel Prize, an ISCA Influential Paper Award, an IEEE Technical Achievement award, three ACM Fellows, one AAAI Fellow, two ISI Highly Cited researchers, two best-selling books, multiple best paper awards, and several NSF and NSERC Fellowships for our graduate and undergraduate students.
And that's just in the past three years!
We've also attracted substantial funding to open new, well-equipped labs and centers that take the department's research in new directions.
