Assignment: Evaluate Your Project
An assigment has been released. It will be due on December 2nd. You will have to evaluate your project. You can find the assignment on the last slide of the Evaluation in the Wild presentation.
Crits: Color Chooser
A Crit has been assigned for Friday. You will need to create a color chooser for news data for countries. You can find the assignment here
Assignment: CITI Course
An assigment has been released. You will need to complete the CITI Course by November 20th. You should send the completion report to Hak.
Select "Group 1: Biomedical and social / behavioral research investigators and key personnel" for the CITI Course.
iOS Workshop
It is schedule for Tuesday (11/19), from 7:30-9:30 pm in CIT 368
The first half hour will be the fundamentals of Objective-C and Cocoa Touch; the following hour or so will be a demonstration of how to build an iOS app from scratch, starting with only a mock-up and a few pre-prepared classes; and the remaining time will be a chance for people to play with the available sample code, ask questions, and get feedback.
CS195I Mini Assignment: Data Gathering
An assignment has been released. It will be due in class on Friday
For the assignment you will have to:
- Develop 4 open-ended interview questions for your project.
- Write an 8 item questionnaire using a combination of multiple-choice, likert scale, and open-ended questions
- For each group memeber: bring 5 copies of questionnaires, 1 copy of the interview questions

Also, the final proposal for your final project is due in class on Friday. It should be printed out and submitted in class.

A Google Group has been created for the class so you can find people to work with on your final project or to share your project idea with others.
If you have any questions about the final project feel free to post it in the forum.
Capstone and pairing
The course can definitely be paired with CS132 and CS190.
If you want to take the course as a capstone, please talk to Professor Reiss.
Second Class
The second class will meet in CIT368 on Friday, September 6th at 11:00.
Please read Chapter 1 and think of two examples of good design and two examples of bad design in preparation for class. Be prepared to justify you choices.
First Lecture
The first lecture for this course will be held on Wednesday, September 4th, in the Lubrano from 11:00 am to 11:50 am.
