Let's Make a Home Page!
Have you seen Danah's homepage? Better
yet, have you seen Andrea's? Don't
you think that they look silly?
I bet you could make a better one! I dare you! (and the evil grin
jumps from her face...)
Your project is to create a website using HTML
(+ JavaScript
if you want). This website should reveal:
- Information about you, your family, your pets and your friends.
- Why your town / high school is different / similar to any other.
- Why you decided to come to Brown University.
- Why you are interested in computer science.
- Other information that is essential to get to know you.
Organize all these bits of data into an interesting, informative and logical
manner. (ie: don't put the story about how your pet fish died
on the same page as why you chose Brown University). Create
multiple pages and link them together in a logical fashion.
Minimal Requirements:
- 10 pages of information
- 40 links to various things (including your own
pages)
- 10 pictures / diagrams / art pieces (at least half should be
clickable)
- 1 Sound or Movie
- 1 table
- Bullets and lists (like the dots in this one)
- Various headings and subheadings
- Various fonts / allignments / colors / backgrounds
Do not include:
- Links to any pages of questionable merit
- Anything containing objects / words of questionable merit
- Frames
- Anything too gaudy
