Why We Do Not Encourage Frames
In a word, frames violate the most fundamental law of hypertext
navigation - know where you are.
Specifically,
- You do not know the URL as you move around a frame,
- You cannot bookmark frame URLs.
Thus, you have no way of knowing where you are or how to get
back there.

Other HTML allowing avoidance of frames:
- Tables
- Multiple Web Browsers with interaction (JavaScript)
