My name is Hie Vang and I'm in the
Artemis Project of '97. I recently attended Hope Middle School for 7th and
8th grade. I am not an American borner. I am from Caen , a city in France. I live in a family
of seven, my parents and me including, and I'm the middle child. I have
three brothers and one sister (all also from France), but two of my
brothers are older that me. My whole family, except some in my mom's side
of the family, are Christian
(a religious belief). I'm Asian, but specifically I'm Hmong that's a
nationality in Laos (a country in the southeast Asia). My mom and my dad
are from Laos,
and also my dad's side of the family are from Laos, except his youngest
brother who was born in Thailand
Thailand (a country also in southeast Asia). Hmong all scattered everywhere
when war broke out in Laos.
My father has eight brothers, but really, two of them are his cousins. Both
of his cousins came to the United States with my dad's family. My dad has
no sister(s). Of all the sons of my grandfather, my dad is the oldest. I'm
the oldest daughter of all my cousins (girls), and my brother is the oldest
of all my cousins (boys). We have a pretty big family altogether. Almost
thirdy cousins, including us, in all. All of my cousin, mentioned here, are
from here, the United States.
