Artemis '97 Activities

We begin each day with a group check-in and end with a time set aside for personal reflection, in which the girls are constantly encouraged to question, challenge and provoke themselves and each other. In addition to working for two hours a day on the computers in Brown's Center for Information Technology, the girls also participate in workshops on self-esteem, leadership, public speaking, and group problem-solving. And of course, amidst all of the classes and workshops, we also find time to swim, play games and just hang-out.

Over the course of the month we meet with several Brown professors and women professionals in the Providence community, and take field trips to innovative institutions like The Computer Museum, and the main branch of the Providence Post Office.
