5.1 What is This Assignment’s Purpose?
You now have reviews of your IFC Design. Put them to use!
5.2 Assignment
Update the design based on the feedback in your reviews. Justify the changes you do or don’t make. As you do this, keep an eye on these two things:
If the lattice changes, it must still be a lattice: one bottom, one top, a unique join for every pair. A new label changes joins, so check the table again and check which labels the two composite documents now get, and justify your change for anything that moved.
When a reviewer shows that some role cannot read a document it needs, it’s tempting to raise that role’s clearance. The usual result is that the role can now read a great deal else. Before raising a clearance, ask whether the document is really one document. For instance, a plan and the argument for it, or a report and the data it was computed from, can often be separated into two documents. Each might be able to sit at a different label, in which case the lattice may have already been okay.
5.3 What To Hand In
The revised design, and your account of what changed and why.
