Important: Never leave the Lego Lab open and unattended. Instances of the Lego Lab left open will result in a collective deduction in the final grades of ALL standard track students.

Advanced track project proposals are due 10/21. Advance track students should schedule an appointment with cjenkins or come to office hours to discuss potential project ideas.

September 17, 2004

Advanced track students should make sure that cjenkins and ktsui have your email address. Also, start thinking about project ideas and discussing them with cjenkins.

Completion of the Advanced Track of CS148 can count as departmental 200 level credit. Contact instructor for details.

The course syllabus has been posted on the calendar page.

September 1, 2004

Enrollment for CS148 has been expanded beyond the original 26 slots. This circumstance is due to the class splitting into two tracks: Standard and Advanced. The standard track will involve labs and projects on implemented on LEGO robots. Due to limited LEGO kits, the standard track will be limited to 26 students. The advanced track will involve labs implemented in Player/Stage and projects determined through a proposal process. Because Player/Stage include robot simulation software, enrollment limitations have been relaxed.

August 14, 2004

Meeting time: Tues. Thurs 9-10:30
Location: Lubrano (CIT 4th floor)

Additional details for the class will be posted shortly. The course will follow a similar format as previous CS 148 classes. Please send email to me (cjenkins) for any questions you may have.

Enrollment for the course is limited to 26. If demand is greater than 26, a lottery will be held to determine who is admitted to enroll. Please attend the first class on 9/7 to enter this lottery.
