The labs and most of the homework problems are taken from the textbook,
Coding the Matrix: Linear Algebra through Computer Science Applications, Edition One, so you'll need to get a copy. You can get the textbook either from the Brown Bookstore or from
Amazon. The Bookstore will have only thirty copies; this option is best for those who want to take a look at the book before purchasing or who join the class late. The Bookstore will not have the books until around September 8.
Amazon offers both the regular hard copy and the Kindle edition. If you buy the hard copy book from Amazon, you have the option of also getting the Kindle edition for an additional $3. There is also a copy or two of the textbook on reserve at the SciLi.
