Ian Frazier

Read July 2003

Frazier's essays are a mixed bag.  When he fails, even the three pages he devotes to a topic seem far, far too much (and we're talking three small pages with fairly large type), but his successes are of such startling originality (such as Beckett as an airline pilot, or for that matter the darkly incestuous title essay) that they keep you coming back.
