Though we will provide good computing equipment, you're welcome to bring and use your own computer. We will have no trouble supporting modern Windows, Macintosh and Linux laptops. It is critical that your computer have either a USB port or an Ethernet connector, so you can download additional code for exercises in the lab.

If you bring a machine, be sure to install Racket v5.1.1 (formerly known as DrScheme).

The dorm rooms offer Ethernet connectivity. You will be given a username and password when you receive the keys to your room. The dorms have wireless connectivity, though they do suggest that if you need maximal reliability, you consider bringing an Ethernet cable as well as a backup.
