Jim Hall

Jim Hall

Jim Hall is an experienced teacher with a background in the visual arts. He is currently a multimedia instructor at Attleboro High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Jim has no formal background in computer technology. Because multimedia technology develops at such a rapid pace, he must be constantly teaching himself. He views the computer with the eye of a craftsman, studying its nuances as he would a pottery wheel, ever building his familiarity with it so that he can use it to create. The time he spends investigating the workings of multimedia programs is actually time used in learning the craft of the multimedia art form.

Together with Sheila Rosa, they have created a workshop called Morphing Castles in the Sky and other Multimedia Fairy Tales. In this workshop they explore the possibilities of using technology to enhance the curriculum in the English classroom using morphing, videotape editing, computer graphics, and multimedia research projects.
