Warping: Bringing us together

A fade won't work the way we want, so what do we want?
What we would really like is for features of one image to move or slide into the same positions as features of the other image.
How can we do this? Sounds like we need to stretch and squeeze parts of the image to get the features to line up
This technique is generally known as warping.
