by the frequency of cross-overs during meiosis.

distance measures in Table 8 of Sturtevant.

- Darwin's On the Origin of Species and the relation
between studies of inheritance and studies of evolution.
- Darwin on "Variation Under Domestication" and "Variation

- The role of the "struggle for existence" in Darwin's
theory, and the theory of natural selection.
- Are the findings of Mendel, Morgan and Sturtevant compatible
with Darwin's theory of evolution?
