The Ideas
The first three Bourne series books were written by Robert Ludlum in 1980 to 1990. Those are Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum. There are seven other books written by Eric Van Lustbader. The seven other books are called Legacy, Betrayal, Sanction, Deception, Objective, Dominion, and Imperative.

Identity
On a stormy night, a young man is pulled out of the Mediterranean Sea by the crew of a fishing boat. Thinking the young man is dead, a curious fisherman with a scalpel finds two bullets in his back and a miniature laser device in his hip. The laser reveals a Swiss bank account number. But our wet hero isn't dead, can't remeber anything, and soon finds himself in Zurich. In the bank vault the young man discovers his name, Jason Bourne. In addition, he finds a baffling pile of different passports, all with his picture, and a huge pile of cash. In the U.S. Embassy, Jason Bourne discovers his travel partner, Marie, along with the fact that someone wants to kill him. Armed with a bag of money and mysterious martial arts skills, with Marie by his side, Bourne scours Paris for clues about his identity and past life... and finds himself in the middle of two assassination plots masterminded by the CIA.

Supremacy
Two years ago, Jason Bourne thought he had been able to leave his still only partically understood past. He and Maria, who is now his girlfriend are now living in India. Bourne and Marie have maintained their anonymous existence by moving from city to city, trying to stay head of the threat that could easy tear their life down. When a CIA operation to purchase classified Russian documents is pushed down by a rival agent--who then shows up in the sleepy seaside village where Bourne and Marie have been living under assumed names--the pair collapse their lives and head out. Bourne, who promised retaliation should anyone from his former life attempt contact, is forced to once again take up his life as a trained assassin to survive.

Ultimatum
Bourne is once again brought out of hiding, this time inadvertently by London-based reporter Simon Ross who is trying to unveil Operation Blackbriar--an upgrade to Project Treadstone--in a series of newspaper columns. Bourne sets up a meeting with Ross and realizes instantly they're being scanned. Information from the reporter stirs a new set of memories, and Bourne must finally, ultimately, uncover his dark past whilst dodging the CIA Deputy Director Noah Vosen best efforts to eradicate him.

Legacy
A reporter of The Guardian that is writing articles about the Operations Treadstone and Blackbriar is murdered and the American Senate Committee investigates the participation of the CIA directors and responsible for the programs. CIA Director Ezra Kramer summons the retired USAF Colonel Eric Byer to clean the mess and he discovers a Youtube video with the responsible for the Treadstone and Outcome Operations together in a public event. Eric Byer decides to shutdown the Outcome Operation, a defense program that uses green and blue pills to enhance the physical and mental capabilities of the agents since the Senate investigation would certainly discover the connection between the operations. Byer orders to kill the Outcome agents, including Aaron Cross that is training in Alaska, using a drone to track a sensor implanted in Aaron's leg, but he puts the device in a wolf that is destroyed. Byer believes that Cross is dead and he uses Dr. Donald Foite to kill his colleagues in the research center; however Dr. Marta Shearing flees from the attempt and survives. When Dr. Shearing is attacked by CIA killers in her house, Aaron Cross saves her expecting to get the pills. Soon Cross learns that he does not need the green pills anymore, only the blue ones, and he travels with Dr. Shearing to the Philippines, where the blue pills are manufactured. When Byer finds that they are in the Philippines, he sends an assassin to hunt them down.
Betrayal?
Bourne Betrayal is the 5th instalment of the Bourne series said to come out in 2016. The Betrayal is said to be about Aaron Cross, from the Legacy, who is the last surviving member of Operation Outcome. He threatenes Operation Larx-their next generation of super assassins is in jeopardy. Larx agents are dispatched to hunt Cross down and remove his threat. The chase moves to China and the streets of Shanghai as Cross stays one step ahead of the closing Larx agents in a desperate bid to find a second Outcome agent that could be his salvation and that could help him take the fight to the agency.
