The Paper Bag Experiment - July 19, 2002

To better understand why robots have sensors and what they're used for, we took away one of ours - sight. With the help of a partner and wearing paper bags on our heads, we wandered around Science Park avoiding obstacles.

Led by Anna, Ouchy wanders around outside the CIT, a little lost.

Robot Mel presents her leader, Haley

Anna watches as Ouchy heads out into the mulch.

Back safely, Anna and Ouchy show off their great partnership.

To celebrate, they both put paper bags on their heads.

By crawling up the steps, Sue demonstrates being under complete control of the robot programmers.
