Years of research have culminated in the ultimate formula for rating a Dinger. To compute your MVP index, follow these simple steps: 1) Divide your batting average by the highest on the team, and multiply this number by 0.146. 2) Divide your singles by the highest number of singles on the team. Multiply this number by 0.059. Do the same for doubles, triples and home runs, with weights of 0.06, 0.067, and 0.075 respectively. 3) Divide your NIP by the highest NIP on the team. Multiply this number by 0.136. 4) Divide your slugging percentage by the highest on the team. Multiply this number by 0.133 5) Divide your on base due to error stat by the highest on the team. Subtract this number from 1. Multiply by 0.053. 6) Divide your RBIs by the highest on the team and multiply by 0.162. 7) Divide your runs scored by the highest on the team and multiply by 0.108. 8) Finally, add up all these numbers together.
