On Toleration

Author: Michael Walzer

Bought: Jun 97 at Providence.

Notes: Excellent book describing the values of toleration in today's poly-cultural societies. He gives a convincing explanation of why even intolerant groups like Mormons still bring something to society as a whole. He argues that the tension between different cultures is a necessary and beneficial force, even if it sometimes leads to unpleasantness.
