Computer Science Commencement 2006 Information

The Computer Science departmental ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 28th at St. Stephen's Church, located at 114 George Street. A post-ceremony reception for graduates, family, and friends will be held at the CS department, 115 Waterman Street, in the 3rd and 4th floor atriums.

Technological Innovation Award for Roberto Tamassia and the Center for Geometric Computing

Brown University's Award for Technological Innovation was presented to Professor Roberto Tamassia and members of his research team at the Center for Geometric Computing for their work in the design and development of algorithms, software, and hardware for authenticating high volumes of data in non-trusted distributed environments. Ph.D. candidates Nikos Triandopoulos and Danfeng Yao, and undergraduate David Ellis were also acknowledged for their work contributing to the award.
