JENNET KIRSCHENBAUM (Executive Assistant)
In September 1983 I transferred from Brown's data processing department (first ADP, then MIS and now CIS) to Computer Science. My first position at CS was Receptionist and in those days we received a huge volume of phone calls every day. Of course, this was before email was in common use and way before the Web. It's now over 20 years later, and I'm still with CS! My current position is Executive Assistant and I will celebrate 25 years of employment on July 1, 2004.

EUGENIA DEGOUVEIA (Receptionist)
I am the receptionist for CS. I've been working at Brown about five years. I live with my fiancé Antonio and two children, my son Sean and daughter Odilia. They both go to The Met School in Providence. I am grateful to be CS staff at Brown!

DAWN (Nicholaus) REED (Admin. Assistant)
I started working at CS in March, 1989, as a youngster out of high school. I'm now a married woman with a 9-year-old daughter, Julia. What can I say -- the Computer Science Department is a great place to work and I'm glad that I'm part of it!

FRAN PALAZZO (Admin. Assistant)
I started in 1995 as a receptionist at the front desk and in 1999 became a secretary, working with several faculty members and also handling the grad program.

SUZI HOWE (Admin. Mgr. and IPP Mgr.)
I've been in the Department for almost 13 years and at Brown for 25! CS is the only academic department I've worked in, and for various reasons (not the least of which isinteracting with super-cool students, staff and fac) this has definitely been my favorite job.

LORI AGRESTI (Admin. Assistant)
I came to Brown in 1991 and, after surviving four years with Andy, went on to work for many other faculty in my current position as Administrative Assistant. I'm enjoying working for such a variety of personalities as well as being part of the astaff team.

AKINA RAMOS (Receptionist)
I came to the CS Dept. in June of 2000. Working here has been a learning experience. The atmosphere among faculty, staff and students is very friendly. I've made a lot of friends and a whole lot of acquaintances. Working with Suzi Howe and Katrina Avery has been a real honor. They are very warm and a lot of fun to be around. We are definitely a close-knit group of colleagues.

TRINA AVERY (Dept. Mgr.)
I've been here almost but not quite since time began--I arrived in 1980, replacing the very able Holly Webster. Things have settled down since then and we do less crisis management, but there's still an esprit de corps here that I enjoy a lot.
