✨ Progress Check ✨
Due: Thurs Apr 23 by 9am
Learning Objectives
To revisit your first reflection journal and see what has changed
Our goal here is for both you and us to get a sense of your progress in using agents in the course. Don't say things that you think we want to hear -- we want genuine answers as this will help us guide future iterations of teaching this material.
Assignment Tasks
Task 1: In Google Docs, make a copy of your reflection journal from dual-gravity Tetris. Go through the copy. Identify phrases or statements where you think your actions or experiences would be different if we had you do the assignment again with what you know now. For each of these, highlight the phrase/statement and add a Google comment that describes what would be different.
Task 2: At the end of the document, add a section called "Additional Comments" and describe anything else that you would do differently that did not arise when marking up your journal entries.
Task 3: Submit the link to your commented copy at the journal submission form.
Task 4: In preparation for class on Thursday, listen to (at least) minutes 14:45 through 40:00 of this podcast episode from Oxide and Friends featuring an interview with Grady Booch. Booch is one of the pioneers of software engineering. The hosts, Adam Leventhal and Bryan Cantrill, are Brown CS grads from (2001 and 1996) who have done award winning work in Operating Systems (and other things).
Note: If you are finding the episode interesting, it is worth listening through to the end. The beginning is also good if you want some backstory on Booch and software engineering.
Note: The transcript has several transcription errors, especially around names, so listening may be more reliable.
