Want to learn: proposal-writing skills, some breadth of vis techniques, better elevator talk/communication/sale of ideas

Other goals for class: definition/refinement of CS contributions to vis projects (including my own), possibly tackle piece of master's thesis project

Role you would like to play in a project and skills you bring:  Code monkey, technical writer, presenter;  background in software development, some proposal writing & evaluation

Relevant math classes taken:  Calc 1-3, pde's, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, probability, applied stats

Relevant science classes taken: Chemistry, Physics (mechanics/E&M), Geology (remote sensing)

Other relevant classes or experience: have been working at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center on some Earth and space science visualization problems over the past 5 years
