Name: Jadrian Miles Dept: Computer Science Year: Gr2 E-mail: jadrian@cs.brown.edu Want to learn: All the nuts and bolts of a full research project and what it takes to pursue one to completion. Other goals for class: Generate something publishable by the end of the semester. Role you would like to play in a project and skills you bring: I'm good at organizing projects, at math, and at communicating. I'm a good software-designy coder but work best offset by a serious hacker. "Relevant" math classes taken: discrete methods, number theory, mathematical modeling, multivariate calculus, topology, abstract algebra, high-dimensional numerical analysis, ODEs and PDEs, probability, linear optimization, real and complex analysis; strong background but nothing formal in signal processing "Relevant" science classes taken: genetics, molecular & cellular biology, classical mechanics and electrodynamics, intro-level chemistry, "summer school" on brain diffusion imaging Other relevant classes or experience: I've had my brain scanned and worked in loose collaboration with natural scientists. I've done a lot of coding and have some experience coding 3D graphics. ================ Any information you'd like to share with staff but NOT have on the web page:
