The Mythical Man Month is, in essence, a book dedicated to emphasizing the
importance of organization and a structured heirarchy in the software
development process.  In this sense, I would agree with it
totally.  Drawing from my own cs032 and extracurricular event planning
experience, the level of organization has proven to be the deciding factor
between success and failure.  Our cs032 final project was hopelessly
disorganized - there was little communication between the group members
which resulted in serious confusion which was evident in our final
product.  Brooks (in chps. 2-6) focuses mainly on the importance of
communication and organization between group members and touches on the
importance of having someone who is in charge - all of which are critical
factors to success, in my own experience.
