Project Title 1: Electronic Personal Trainer

Brief Description: Modeled after something like weightwatchers, users could use
this networked service to get day to day instructions on what to eat how to
excercise, and so one based on a very detailed description of their body type,
metobolic rate and so on. The will be able to log what they eat - (specifically,
like "brandname x", or "fast food" or "homecooked" and how they excercise and
the program will continually change to fit their needs. and show their
progressThere will be several newsgroup/forum for users to to post
recipes/excercise ideas/success stories/complaints and so on. 

Identify Local Users: Any webuser. Probably mostly woman, although there could
be a modified man thing

Pros: There're aren't very many women in technology, so there are fewer programs
for women available.. 

Cons: The makeup of the class is such that very few will understand the
usefullness of such a program

Project Title 2: Information compiler

Brief Description: A program that will help with research. users can bookmark
web pages, copy info into a text document, use encarta to put all related
documents in one folder. The program will then compile the information in an
easy to use manual. Users can specify key words, and the program will highlight
surrounding information, group relevant topics, and have a lot of tools for
users to compile a helpful research tool.

Pros: Implementable. Anyone who has done reasearch can see the benefits.

Cons: Maybe too small unless we come up with some more tools

Project Title 1: Virtual Waiter

Brief Description: a program that could be used on a handheld device. Someone
seated a table could do all their ordering on it. They can see specific orders,
call for more water, coffe, or someone to come help. The program could tell them
what percentage of a bill they owe for people splitting the bill. Patrons can
run their credit card on it. Mor functionality would be neccessary.
