Project Title 1:  Virtual Tables

Brief Description:  DJ Software with manual & automatic modes.  Automatic Mode
requires cuing of songs, and software beat-matches & cross fades
automatically.  Manual Mode allows user to adjust speed , cross-fader and
levels manually, using a virtual "Turn Table" interface.

Identify Local Users:  Genral use as a audio player, specific use as
professional DJ software.

Assign a 1-5 score for these criteria

	Can be scaled up to PC product: 4
	Divisible: 4
	In C++ on Suns: 4

	Overall: 4

Pros: Useful and entertaining software with a range of users in mind.

Cons: Requires intensive research in mp3/audio techniques and software.

Brief Description: Software to generate skins for various programs, winamp,
windows media player, sonique, etc.

Pros: Easy way to make custom skins

Cons: very different methods for skinning depending on program

Project Title 3: Tricked Out, performance parts upgrade

Brief Description: software to aid in automotive performance parts
upgrades.  drag and drop 3d interface with gauges indicating increases in
horse-power, torque, etc.

Identify Local Users: Hobbiests and Street Racers

Pros: incorporates many disciplines including 3d graphics and databases.

Cons: requires extensive knowledge of auto mechanics and performance
products.  also, acurtae 3d models of cars & products would need to be
created.
