Brief Description
  Cute little client to enable access to windows share folders, netware
resources, and CFS folders from unix (e.g. from the SunLab).

Pros:
  I'm really tired of sshing, ftping, and emailing files back and forth with my
windows machine.

Cons:
  It's probably not that challenging.

  tdwm

Brief Description
  A 3-D window manager for X that makes use of the expensive hardware in the
SunLab

Identify Local Users:
  The CS department

Assign a 1-5 score for these criteria

	Has specific users:  4
	Can be scaled up to PC product:  1
	Divisible:  5
	In C++ on Suns:  5

	Overall: 18

Pros:
  Fun.  Surprisngly, 'tdwm' is not taken.  It's about time something else was
done with those graphics cards . . .  Most importantly: just think of the dope
demo . . .

Cons:
  Everybody and their mother has written a window manager.

Project Title 3:
  WtFitMA (Where the f$*# is the money at!?)

Brief Description
  Scalabale accounting database and cash-flow analyzer for mid-size companies
employing multiple independent employees.  Incorporates all document generation(quote, PO, invoice, shipping docs, etc..) and storage vi scanning and
barcoding.  Also cross-platform and gives a mean backrub.

  It's a secret (really).

	Can be scaled up to PC product: 4
	Divisible:  4
	In C++ on Suns:  3

	Overall:  21

Pros:
  I may actually have to write it this summer.

Cons:
  Has to integrate a LOT of different components.

Project Title 4:
  qdm (Quick and Dirty Modeler)
  
Brief Description
  A UML-based modeler geared towards the scale of design econountered at the
college course level.

Identify Local Users:
  All CS courses (not just cs032).  It should be quick and dirty enough to be not
only usable by but useful to cs015,

	Has specific users:  5
	Can be scaled up to PC product:  3
	Divisible:  4
	In C++ on Suns:  5

	Overall: 22

Pros:
  Rose is overkill.  It would be great to have something halfway between xfig
and Rose that wouldn't have to check what version of Solaris was running before
you could make a simple containment diagram.

Cons:
  It's been done before?
