================================================================ Name: Emily Leventhal ================================================================ Questions/comments about the syllabus or project handout: ================================================================ Project Title 1: chat/animation/magnetic-poetry - madlibs program Local Users: Anyone that likes a interactive chat animated type program Score Useful to others: yes - especially on enjoyable Has specific users: yes Can be scaled up to PC product: definately Divisible: In C++ on Suns: yes Overall: Definitely doable Pros: Can be broken up into a lot of different parts - networking, parsing, graphics-package… There are a lot of extensions that could be added. For instance the user could define ways for the Computer to place images, more then one person could be working on the scene - on the same Frame or on different frames. Cons: If it were to be just a chat program it would be too difficult to create a scene based just on what people were typing without giving them rules. ================================================================ Project Title 2: A photoshop with extensions Local Users: Anyone who needs to create some type of art Score Useful to others: definately Has specific users: yes Can be scaled up to PC product: yes Divisible: yes In C++ on Suns: yes Overall: Good Pros: There are lots of possible extensions and ways to go with it. Could have it be able to do design help, and try to make suggestions of color and formal composition. Though this program has been done before I think there is a lot of possibility for coming up with things it does not offer - like a larger variety of color choosers/models. Also mini-games could be inserted to help the user understand color and composition.
