Tara Olson cs190 DDP Main Points 1. --Minimal status reports-- Making sure that the program manager doesn't bog everyone down with too many status report related meetings. Basically make sure the project is moving a long and have enough meetings to keep everyone up to date, but given the limited amount of time we have to implement the project and the fact that we are meeting in class a lot of external meeting would hinder the progress. 2. --Constant debugging of code-- Start off the project with bugzilla or some equivalent and enforce that people take care of reported bugs before they get out of hand. Also, make sure that people who are checking code in cannot break the build once a stable code base is checked in. 3. --Learning from each other/ working on something new-- A fair number of people mentioned towards the beginning of the course that they wanted to improve their programming skills or refresh them. A good way for them to do that is to work on a portion of the code they are not already experts on.
