	In C++ in Sunlab (Linux): 4

	Overall: 4

Pros: Has a potentially large user base. Could be many other applications. The tasks are well-defined. Relatively challenging.

Cons: There may not be enough time to implement all of the features.

Brief Description
Web interface for the Facilities Management facility and project database.

Identify Local Users: FM staff, other staff, faculty, and students.

	Useful to others: 4
	Has specific users: 5
	Can be scaled up to PC product: 3
	Divisible: 4
	In C++ in Sunlab (Linux): 4

	Overall: 3

Pros: Meets the specific needs of Brown staff. Well-defined tasks. Sounds very feasible within the timeframe.

Cons: Limited applicability beyond Brown FM. Perhaps not challenging enough.

Information gathering application for patents, patent filings, publications, and relevant individuals and organizations.

Identify Local Users: academic technology transfer offices, venture capitalists, investors, law firms, and high tech companies

	Can be scaled up to PC product: 5
	Divisible: 3
	In C++ in Sunlab (Linux): 4

	Overall: 4

Pros: A highly demanded product in the business world. Very challenging.

Cons: Not very well-defined tasks and features. Implementation could be very difficult.
