Potential Site Designs

Design One

This is the original design I had in mind. It has a list on the left which shows where the user is in the election process and each ballot question is on a unique page.

Design Two

This design follows a similar pattern. It still has a column on the left to show where the user is in the election, but this time the ballot itself is all on one page.

Design Three

This is the same as design two in general concept, but it has images for each candidate next to their name on the meet the candidates page and on the ballot page.

General Considerations

should the candidate names be links, or should there be a "more info" link next to their name
should the user be allowed to navigate from section to section of the election site, or should the menu on the left only be an indicator of where they are
do we even need/want the menu on the left?
how graphically intense should the site be? is a primarily text based system like this okay? maybe its better than a highly graphical site
