• Leonardo Da Vinco wrote that "The most praiseworthy form of painting is the one that most resembles what i imitates." Although much of modern art stands in disagreement to this claim, there is no doubt that Leonardo's abilitiy to draw from observation and to work out ideas on paper (from how water flowed to designs for submarines and helicopters) was essential to his thinking process.
