We'll be providing you with computer accounts here at the SunLab and we'll show you how to login and use the Sun workstations. You'll be learning to:

• use UNIX, an impressive operating system used by the Brown Computer Science Department
• access applications for mailing, word processing and browsing the web
• learn how to use our facilities to print and scan documents

Meet Andy van Dam, professor of CS15 -- a founder of Brown's CS Department and an influential figure in the world of computer graphics, and Anne Morgan Spalter, the coordinator of the Bridge Program.
