Hi Everyone--here is a taste of my ancestrial background. I can't take credit for these pics; I have to admit that I got them elsewhere on the WWW!
Vietnam is my birthplace! I left when I was very young though, and would like to visit someday in the future. Both my parents have Chinese ancestors but, for the most part, I was raised to speak more Vietnamese than Chinese. Although, I love and respect both my heritages.
The South Vietnamese Flag is still
treasured by many war veterans who fought in the war (including my
father) and symbolizes much bloodshed and loss.
This is a scene from Vietnam with two girls wearing classic Vietnamese wardrobes.
A little Vietnamese boy playing the flute while riding on his oxen.
A night view of the full moon from the Great Wall of China.
This is the Chinese character for
"mountain" skillfully written in Chinese calligraphy.

I was born in the year of the horse, and I've been told that the month and day I was born in was under the symbol in the horse year, "fire in the sky".
