Bridge years

Welcome to the summer bridge course running from June 23 - July
18!
Goal of the Bridge Course
The intention of this course is to introduce you to the field of
computer science. Brown professors, students, and staff will present
lectures and give project demonstrations. Danah and Andrea will teach
you the basics of UNIX, the operating system used in the computer
science department at Brown, and help you become completely familiar
with the World Wide Web, learning HTML and JavaScript. You will be
introduced to concepts in programming through projects in Logo, C and
Java. Field trips include visits to the Computer Museum and Boston
Museum of Science. And last but not least, throughout these four
weeks, you will have lots of fun! <grin>
