TML's back from the D.C. Tango Marathon. We performed in a lovely hall at Trinity College. Acoustics were excellent, and we had Liz's friend running sound for us the whole time. We all danced a bit also, at the Friday night milonga and at the Saturday afternoon milonga when we weren't playing. I was dancing in my clogs and trying to save my feet and my energy for the Saturday night milonga...and then by the time we were done with dinner it was 10:30 and I went back to the house and crashed. Oh well. The dances I did have during the festival were really fun. I haven't had so much fun dancing in years. Seriously.
It was great to have the band together for a couple of days, and we got a lot of business out of the way during the car trip back from the Manchester Airport (note: next time we are flying and not using Tina's miles, we will definitely fly out of Portland...). New idea being floated to the Portland Tango community: why not host a "tango camp" in Maine, land of summer camps? The wheels are turning.
