I'm currently working as a game developer for The Education Arcade, but my contract ends at the end of the summer. So, I'm looking for a new software development job starting then. I have nine years of post-college software development experience with expertise in C++, Java, C#, and Flex. The ideal job would be located in southern New England or the Seattle area, utilize my skills with user interfaces and/or graphics, and be developing games or educational software.

Code Samples

A code library used to determine molecule conformations. From my dissertation work. C#. Approx 9000 lines.
A driving route calculator. This was my solution for the Brown Computer Science Department Ph.D. programming exam for 2004. We were given only 3.5 days to write this using Rhode Island's existing emergency database of roads. (Note, if the application appears to hang on the crash screen, it needs more memory. The included batch file will give the JVM the needed memory on Windows systems.) Java. Approx 2500 lines.
An implementation of a Queue factory within fixed memory. An expanded form of a problem assigned in a tech test. C++. 54K. Approx 1000 lines.
An example of how to integrate an existing 3D graphics engine (in this case G3D) written in C++ into a .NET application written in C#. Based on code from my dissertation work. C++ & C# 21.3M. Approx. 1500 lines.
A game of Tic Tac Toe that I wrote in 4 hours as the tech test for an unnamed company. C#. Approx 1900 lines.
