The 2017 Brown CS Undergraduate Research Symposium is an exciting opportunity for undergraduate researchers to present their computer science research to the department! All undergraduate CS researchers are encouraged to participate so they get a chance to not only show their work to the department but also to win recognition by the faculty and our sponsor companies. You are welcome to submit research done under a faculty member or independently.

There will be a $500 prize for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. In addition, selected participants will get opportunities with sponsor companies and further recognition within the department.
The Symposium is on May 9th, 2017 from 5pm-7pm in the 3rd floor atrium. If you are interesting in presenting your work, please email a short (less than one page) abstract to the Meta-URAs (firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 18 including:
Research problem addressed
Findings and conclusions
If there is any other equipment you might need to help demo your work, e.g. large displays, unusual power requirements, or department machines, please include that at the end of your abstract and we will make our best efforts to arrange for it.
If your abstract is accepted, please prepare a poster or a demo of your research. If you choose to do a poster, we will provide foam boards that are 30" by 40" and easels. Please email us if you need networking or power for a demo.
Everyone is invited to attend the symposium to find out about the exciting research being carried out by undergraduates at Brown.
Food will be provided!
If you have any questions, please email the Meta-URAs (email@example.com).
