Textbook
The primary course textbook is Machine Learning: A Probabilistic Perspective, in preparation by Prof. Kevin Murphy. Printed copies are available as a reader from the Metcalf Copy Center.

For homework 5, students have the option to submit revised solutions to questions 2(b-f) and question 3. Revisions are due Friday, March 18 at 12:00pm. The posted solutions to question 2(a) may be helpful.

Due to recent problems with Brown's Matlab license server, the due date for homework 3 has been extended until Friday, Feb. 25 at 12:00pm.

CS accounts and mailing list subscriptions have been created for all students registered in Banner as of Wednesday, Feb. 2. To get your new account info, run the command ub-new-account in the Useful Box of a department machine. The Sun Lab consultant can help if you have troubles. If you were not registered, register, then e-mail mbarrows-at-cs with your name and banner ID.
