Course Scripts

As mentioned in class, the course scripts need to be accessed from our bin. In particular, the demos currently use the cs195n demo script.

for signups: /course/cs1971/bin/cs1971_signup tic
for demos: /course/cs195n/bin/cs195n_demo tic

More information on override codes will be given out during this week's design checks. Make sure you sign up for one!

The first lecture of CS1971: Topics in 2D Game Engines will be held on Tuesday, September 12, at 3:00pm in CIT 316. CS1971 does not appear normally on CAB and you cannot register ahead of time. If you want to take CS1971, simply show up to the first lecture and we'll provide instructions on how to sign up. The first lecture is mandatory for anyone who wants to take/shop CS1971.

CS1971 (2D Game Engines) covers core techniques used in the development of 2D game engines. Projects involve building different varieties of 2D game engines as well as games that require use of the features implemented in the engines. Topics include engine design, animation, collision detection, physics, content management, and game AI. Prerequisite: CSCI 15/16, CSCI 17/18, CSCI 19, or permission from Professor Meier.

CS1971 will be held on Tuesdays from 3pm - 5:20pm in CIT 316. (CAB lists CS1971 as "Independent Study in 2D Game Engines", and each section does not come with an associated time and room.)
