We are all done!!!

On the evening of May 10th, 2000 at about 11:30pm we fixed all our last bugs and packaged the projectors for the final complete interactive Buzz!!! program that helps kindergarten students learn the concepts of area and perimeter.

Although we spent some sleepless nights trying to complete the program before the assigned time, all four of us feel that it has been an extremely rewarding and enriching experience. We all learned a lot from the course and from writing this program and the concepts we now have come to understand will serve us for the rest of our lives. Having finished the program and having received reviews of it from Roger, our peers, Mrs. Lynch, and, most importantly, the children, we feel extremely proud of our effort. There may have been a few things we could have added had we had more time, but our current finished product stands alone as a complete and comprehensive program that gets across the concepts to those who have don't know them as well as those who are starting to learn. We also feel that we have taken advantage of the capabilities offered by the computing technology and made easier the process for which (before our program), each student would need his/her own teacher.

We have installed the program on the school's server and it can now be run from any computer at the Vartan Gregorian Elementary School. We hope that it will be put to good use, and even if one child likes it and finds it useful and educational, we will not have worked in vain.

We'd like to thank Mrs. Lynch, Roger Blumberg and the CS92 TAs for all their help and we look forward to hearing any responses about our program.
