The T.F. Green airport (code PVD) is located in Warwick, RI, approximately 9.4 miles (and 15 minutes) from downtown Providence and Brown, and is served by most national and regional airlines. The Airport Van Shuttle is a good way to travel. It will drop off at the Brown Faunce Arch (corner of Brown Street and Waterman Avenue). Cabs are also available at the airport but are more expensive.
Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) is a good second choice. Boston is about an hour away from Providence, and the transit system between there and here is fairly good. Options for getting to Providence include:
- Peter Pan bus that leaves from Logan Airport every two hours. See our bus page for more information.
- The MBTA route from Logan Airport to the Providence train station that runs hourly. You can use the MBTA trip planner to plan your route, and you can also buy a rail pass online. Note that Providence is Zone 8. See our train page for more information.
